Almira Car Rental Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2011 and 31-Dec-2012

Driving age
The minimum renting age is 21, with seniority in driving of at least 12 months.

Rental period
Minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). Maximum rental period is 30 days.
For bookings hire more than 30 days, another booking should be created for extension. Rates at pick up date is valid.

Car
The car type, model, engine size, luggage compartment size and fuel type are never guaranteed. Almira may give out a car defined as equal or of a higher group.

Additional Driver
One additional driver is allowed. Free of charge.

Deposit
Every driver must present at the pick up location a valid international credit card under his name, as a guarantee for any additional items he will be charged for (cash deposit is not acceptable), a valid passport or a valid national together with an international driving license carrying the same data.

Traffic fines
All traffic fines must be paid by the renter. If we receive the fine after rental, we take it from credit card.

Fuel
There is no guarantee for the full tank. The renter must return the tank in the same condition as received. Returning the car with a partially filled fuel tank will incur a charge according to the public rate of Almira, with an additional service fee. Filling the car with an inappropriate fuel type in contrast to the manufacturer’s instructions will incur a charge up to the total repair expenses.

Accident/breakdown
In case of any accident client must immediately contact with us and fill the accident report with the other driver. If it is at the parking place or if injured or death is occurred, client must contact with police station or the local country policeman (jandarma) and collect official accident reports.

If a third party is involved to the accident or not customer must not remove the vehicle from the scene until the police report is complete If the necessary police and alcohol report  is not comply with the requirements, under Turkish law the CDW becomes invalid. The report should state if there was any influence of alcohol or drugs. It is essential that you also report any accident or damage to ALMIRA. The above procedure should also be followed if the vehicle is damaged while parked.

In any case the insurance does not cover damage to:  the lower body of the car, the tires, the windscreens, the internal covers and to damages caused by driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, reckless driving or driving on unpaved areas, damages caused by nature,  leaving the car keys in the car when unattended etc. It is the responsibility of the renter and must be paid locally.

Voucher
The car will be kept for the renter up to 2 hours after the pick up time specified on the voucher, or until the closing time of the location (the earlier of both). One rental day is 24 hours. Delay in returning the car, or prolonging the rental period beyond the number of days mentioned on the voucher, will incur an extra charge based on the local rate of Almira, plus insurance and mandatory local charges. The rental voucher is strictly personal and is valid only for the renter of the car (whose name appears on the voucher) and for the details mentioned on it. Any change in the said details will be under the soul responsibility of the renter. The rental days appearing on the voucher cannot be divided into separate rentals. There will be no refund for any partial use of the voucher.

Rental Agreement
When picking up the car, the renter will sign a new contract with Almira, which is solely responsible for the execution of the reservation according to the details appearing on the voucher. Almira may offer the renter other insurance items that may or may not be included in the prepaid rental voucher. If the renter chooses to purchase those supplementary insurance items, he will be charged for them according to the public rate of Almira. A copy of the rental agreement and check-in report should be kept by the renter after returning the car in case of any inquires.

Before signing the rental agreement, the renter must make sure all the extra charges and conditions are completely clear to him.

Delivery / Collection
The delivery and collection is free of charge in location limits. For the below areas, the charge is 35 euro/ 30 gbp paid locally for each way. For the rentals over 14 days, it’s free of charge.
*Antalya =>  Side, Alanya, Kemer
*Dalaman and Fethiye => Kas, Kalkan, Kayakoy, Uzumlu
*Marmaris => Selimiye
*Izmir => Ayvalık, Cesme, Kusadası, Gumuldur, Ozdere
*Bodrum => Didim, Altınkum
If the clients have got no information for the charges, it will be charged to credit card.

One way policy
Between different locations, the charge is 80 euro/70 gbp. If the oneway is between downtown office and airport office in the same city location, it is free of charge for all rentals.

Baby Seat
The local price is 6 euro/5 gbp per day between 1-7 days rentals. Over 7 days, the rest of it is free of charge.

Navigation (GPS)
It is on request and paid locally .It costs 6 euro/6 gbp per day. There are different types of systems and it is impossible to guarantee a certain type. The renter must return the system in a proper condition and with all its parts. If the system is not returned or returned damaged or with missing parts, the renter will be charged for the minimum deductible for the damage or theft of the system according to the minimum deductible set by the supplier. In any case, it is the renter’s responsibility to verify the system’s rental conditions with the rental company  prior to the rental. 

All extra charges will be charged directly by Almira with the addition of local mandatory taxes and fees.

Payment Methods
Visa and Mastercard is acceptable. American express is acceptable with 9% surcharge.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
